Acupuncture is one of the oldest health interventions in the world. The holistic healing modality has been used in the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and many other East Asian societies for over 2000 years. It involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, known as Qi (pronounced "chee"). According to TCM principles, disruptions in the flow of Qi can lead to imbalances, which produce signs and symptoms that create distinct patterns of disharmony that affect our health and well-being and cause dis-ease. Your treatment session may also include adjunct therapies, when indicated, to support your treatment. These therapies may include moxibustion, cupping, electro-acupuncture, far-infrared heat therapy, breathwork, liniments, essential oils and guided meditation.

Hi there, I’m Ine Jones, and it’s a joy to welcome you to the Gentle Living Healing Arts Center in Edison, NJ.

My own path towards healing began in my early twenties. While training to be a respiratory therapist, I battled with GERD, ulcers, irregular periods, and a diagnosis of PCOS. By the age of 30, faced worsening symptoms after treating these conditions for 10+ years, I remember feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and close to giving up hope ‍ But life has a way of introducing us to just what we need when we start searching for answers; and for me, that was yoga. It wasn’t just exercise; it became my gateway to a new world of health, leading me to the wisdom of Ayurveda and the potential of alternative healing practices to support my health and wellness. ‍ Ten years ago, I took a life-changing leap from my work as a Respiratory Therapist to become a Holistic Health Practitioner and acupuncturist. This wasn’t just about deepening my knowledge of holisitc health modalities; it was also about shedding the weight of medical labels and truly developing a better relationship with my body. This journey opened into a path of healing that was both transformative and life affirming, and I am passionate about practicing and sharing my skills, knowledge and expertise with my clients as they embark on their healing journey.

My vision for Gentle Living is both clear and deeply meaningful: to open diverse pathways of healing tailored to your unique needs and preferences. It’s more than just treatment; it’s about helping you discover and connect with practices that truly resonate with you at a constitutional level, fostering a deeper, more intuitive understanding of your body and its needs.

At the heart of my approach is a commitment to guiding you away from the relentless ‘fight or flight’ response that so often dominates our lives, and towards achieving a state of genuine healing and balance, where every aspect of your well-being is nurtured.

Whether you’re taking your first steps towards health or are further along on your path, I am honored to be able to provide the holistic education, resources, and tools essential for unlocking your body’s remarkable ability to heal itself.
